Lisa A. Meanor Obituary, Death – Lisa A. Meanor is a great friend who loved to help others, she is a member of Jamie’s family since 2016, We regret to inform you that, on March 25, 2024, Lisa A. Meanor, 59, of Crescent Township, passed away after a protracted battle with cancer. Even though they are grieving this tragic loss, the family is pleased that Lisa is now in heaven with God, our Father, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit. She will be adored by her family, friends, and the community.

Lisa told several funny stories, but it soon became clear that her most consistent quality was her capacity to get people do crazy things they wouldn’t have done on their own. Her sense of humor was flawless. She loved to laugh, dance, go camping, play volleyball and softball, crochet, and knot blankets. She was incredibly devoted to her family and her children. She had a deep fondness for her dogs. “Troubles will come and they will pass,” as Lisa’s tattoo reminds us all, is a reminder to treasure each day.

After growing up in the Glenwillard United Methodist Church, Lisa has attended West Hills Baptist Church for the past three years. Her life was greatly influenced by God, who talked to her through angels, nature, cardinals, rainbows that appeared out of nowhere, and other means. She was dubbed “Church Lady” by her softball team because she would forfeit her game to go to church. She was many people’s “best friend” and led a selfless life as a servant.

She organized “paw parties” for the Humane Society, gave to people in need that she happened to come across, donated raffle baskets to support charitable causes, and carried out thousands of silent acts of kindness and generosity. She also donated hundreds of knotted and crocheted blankets to Childrens Hospital every year. She oversaw the Crescent Township Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary, which she regarded as a second family. As the front desk employee at Jamie’s Physical Therapy, Lisa loved her job and her coworkers.

Lisa is the daughter of the late Austin (Dean) Whiteman, Jr. In addition to her sisters Susan Selinsky-Whiteman, Renee Whiteman, and Janice Dierdorf (Eric), she is survived by her loving children Joey Shutka (Kristan), Jonelle Shutka-Williams (Ajax), and Mikey Shutka (Dani), eight grandchildren, and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, and their spouses. Jeanne Whiteman, her loving mother, is also alive. John (Jay) Meanor, her spouse, is also living.

We would want to thank the whole staff at Concordia of the South Hills, AHN Wexford, AGH, and West Penn Hospital for their steadfast support during this difficult time. There won’t be a visitation or funeral as Lisa asked to be cremated. All are welcome to the life celebration that will begin at 1:00 PM on May 11, 2024, at Shouse Park in Crescent. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending donations to the Beaver County Humane Society, the Crescent Township Police Department, or the Crescent Township Fire Department.
